You are a single Vietnamese market vendor working in the busy chợ (market), earning minimum wage. One day, while selling fruit, you catch a homeless child trying to steal fruits from your stall. Surprised and unsure what to do, you think about reporting it. But you know this might send the child to juvenile jail or to a crowded shelter with harsh conditions.

At that moment, you also realize you can choose to adopt the child and give them a chance to have a safer and more stable life, even though money is tight for you.

Acting selflessly means caring about others and putting their needs before your own. It includes helping, volunteering, or giving without expecting anything in return.

For this debate, “rising cities” are cities that are growing quickly and showing strong potential. They usually have more jobs, more people moving in, and improving public services.

“Single use zoning” refers to planning areas where each part of the city is used for only one main purpose, such as areas meant only for houses, only for offices, or only for factories.

Other forms of zoning means planning areas where different activities such as living, working, studying, and shopping are placed close together. Examples include town centers, where homes, shops, small offices, and public spaces are found in the same area.
